The {J} Family!

Second times a charm! Originally the {J} family had scheduled a Christmas family photo shoot but the rain messed up our plans and we had to wait until after all the Christmas festivities died down to get in this shoot. I'm so glad we were able to fit this in because I really enjoyed getting to know this family.  Two photogenic and active boys, a beautiful mom, and a caring and involved dad...could a family photographer ask for anything more?

These boys were just too adorable! I loved how baby brother kept mimicking everything his older brother was doing! It reminded me of the two little ones running (and crawling) around my house.

Mom brought along cars for the boys to play with during the shoot, and they loved creating car crashes down all these stairs!

My favorite pic of the day comes from the beginning of the shoot when big brother wanted nothing to do with the camera. Sometimes these moments make the best shots, don't you think?

End of the Year Giveaway!

Last night the Christmas spirit struck! I decided I'd like to do an end of the year giveaway to say thank you to all of those who have been such a huge support during the launching of my business either this year. I'd love to call this giveaway a Christmas giveaway, but you probably won't have this in hand before the 25th, so we'll call this an "End of the Year" giveaway. :) Up for grabs is one of my spectacular print packages (one 8x10, two 5x7s, four 4x6s, and eight wallets), a $50 value. I use a top of the line professional printer, so you'll notice a huge difference between my printing and the printing you may do at your local drugstore. You can use the package to print pics from a previous session, a future session (anytime in 2012), or to print digital prints you already own (just send me the files and I'll have them printed).

So how do I enter, you ask? It's simple. Just "like" BG Photography on facebook and come back here and comment below that you've done so and what pics you'd like to have printed. If you're already a fan, simply leave a comment that you're already a fan.  Please include your name and some way I can be a hold of you (if you don't have a google account, please select "name/url" or "anonymous" before trying to comment). The winner will be chosen by random.org on the 23rd of December.

Wanna earn extra entries? Help me spread the word about BG Photography! Please leave one extra comment below each time you do one of the following:
1) Post "I just entered a great giveaway from BG Photography" to your status. Make sure you use the @symbol to link to my page for your entry to count. You can earn one additional entry per day that you do this.
2) "Share" one of my photography shoots on your fb wall.
3) Subscribe to this blog via the "Email Following" link below.

Legal stuff: This giveaway is in no way sponsored by Facebook. BG Photography reserves the right to
to remove entries with no explanation to those who break the rules or become unpleasant to deal with. If using your own digital files, you must have the copyright or printing release prior to printing. Entries only open to those in the United States.

Thank you all for helping me get BG Photography off and running! Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks and good luck!

Baby A's One Gorgeous Baby - Tucson Family Photographer

Baby A is back! I've had the privilege of photographing Baby A on several occasions, and she gets more and more beautiful as time goes on. Baby A is also getting really big and strong and at four months is already scooting herself across the floor!

The weather was just perfect for a Christmas photo shoot and Baby A and her parents were all dressed up for the occasion.

I absolutely loved this new shooting location, but Baby A kept getting distracted by all the people and trains.

Baby A was getting a bit sleepy towards the end of our session, so we took a time-out to relax (and I snuck in for a few extra pics).

Sweet Baby A, you're getting so big and beautiful! I love those little elbow dimples! :)

So Many Curls - Tucson Family Photographer

I loved getting to meet this sweet family this weekend. The two little girls (and their lovely mom) had gorgeous curls and looked so beautiful all dressed up for pictures.  Dad was so engaged and gentle with his girls and it was so nice to watch their interaction.

Big sister was a natural in front of the camera, smiling and posing before I even had my gear out of the bag. I was expecting little sister (who's nearly two) to be more of a challenge to photograph, but she was so photogenic and just adorable following after her sister.

These kids had so much fun playing around with their parents. I just love this!

My favorite shots of the night were two sweet pictures of mom and dad together. Dad was sure good at making everyone laugh!

Thank you all for letting me share the afternoon with your sweet family. Merry Christmas!

Family Pics for the Bithday Girl - Tucson Family Photographer

This adorable little girl is about to turn two and her mom wanted to mark the occasion with family pictures. We headed way out of town to this lovely park and I was so excited to find changing tree colors and fallen leaves. Rarely do we get to see this in Tucson, so I was so excited (not to mention a bit nostalgic at the thought of the many winters I've spent in much colder parts of the country) to spend the afternoon with these three and my camera.

Just like me, birthday girl loved the leaves and had so much fun playing with them. After several failed attempts to get her to look up at the camera, I gave up and instead enjoyed watching her explore the strange things all over the ground.

I absolutely adore her curls!

I had to take this picture quick, because she was making a getaway while mom and dad were patiently posing.

And for my favorite picture...sorry dad, she's not having one right now! (This is SO like my daughter!) :) Thanks, you three, for a lovely afternoon in one gorgeous location. Happy birthday sweetie!

Sweaters and Earmuffs - Tucson Children Photographer

This weekend I had the pleasure of meeting an adorable three week old and his active 19 month old brother. Mom and dad are doing such a great job during this rough transition (despite waking up every two hours at night!), and they wanted to make sure to get pictures to capture this time in their lives. Little brother was awake and active throughout the photo shoot, but as soon as we brought out the pacifier he calmed right down. I just love the earmuffed hat that mom brought along!

There's nothing like little ears, fingers, and toes.

Big brother was much more interested in exploring than in taking pictures, so we let him loose outdoors and I had a blast chasing him around with my camera. Thankfully mom brought along a warm sweater because it was actually chilly outside. I love how he's got this huge stick in every picture...such a boy! :)

You have two adorable boys and I'm so glad to have met them! Good luck as you transition into a family of four...it's a lot of work, but so worth it!
