how can i book a session with you?

it's simple! just email me at yvette@bgphotography.biz, via my contact page on this site, or on facebook and we'll find a time and date that works. my best advice is to book early, especially for maternity and newborn shoots. november and december are my busiest months, so booking three months in advance is recommended.

what makes you unique as a photographer, and why should i set up a session with you?

is it too upfront to say that i take beautiful pictures? :) but really, not only will you love your images, but you'll find that my ability to interact with you and your family is what sets me apart. my past clients say things like, "my favorite thing about our shoot was how patient and kind you were, both with a very pregnant mama and a very unpredictable newborn!" and "my favorite thing about our BG sessions has been your awesome interaction with our children". a million phone calls about clothing before the shoot or questions about where to hang your canvas after your personal viewing session...i love getting to work with you from start to finish!

what times and days are you available?

i am available on wednesday and thursday evenings during the week, and saturday mornings and evenings on the weekend (i make exceptions for newborn photo shoots, which normally occur in the late morning during the week). i absolutely love gorgeous lighting, so i prefer shooting near sundown when the sky is beautiful and golden. i know late afternoons and early evenings don't  work for everyone, so i make saturday mornings available as well.

can i get the digital images and a cd of my session?

absolutely! each sitting fee includes five digital images and a printing release. each photo session typically produces about 40-50 beautiful images and a cd of these images can be purchased during a personal viewing session.

what is a personal viewing session?

photographs are meant to be enjoyed, and not just from your computer screen or facebook! after your photo shoot you'll want to display your gorgeous images around your home, and during your personal viewing session i'll help walk you through beautiful and creative ways to do just that! after each session i like to schedule time to meet with you and review your images. we meet at my in-home studio for coffee, browse through your gallery, and talk about the canvases, linen prints, and flat lay albums that will best compliment you and your home. print packages begin at $300 and there is a $300 minimum order.

why do i pay for the sitting fee and the prints separately?

i have to preface this answer by saying that i think professional photography should be available to everyone, so i designed my packages to cater to the majority of my clients who would like to display their gorgeous photos as art throughout their homes, while still offering photo shoots to those who are only able to purchase a few digital images.

can you offer suggestions for locations for the shoot and give me ideas about what i should wear?

i love working with you to find the perfect location for your shoot! i like to ask you about the look and feel you'd like in your photographs. serene? fun? romantic? trendy? urban? industrial? traditional? i use the answers to these questions to offer suggestions of locations, and then we either meet together or separately to view the spots and pick the perfect one! i also use the answer to these questions to offer ideas for clothing. i tell people to think "coordinating" rather than "matchy-matchy." layers, jewelry, and accessories add fun and depth to photographs. i also recommend that people check out the following links for visual ideas of what to wear: family session or what to wear

do you offer classes or one-on-one mentoring?

i really enjoy offering my "learning to shoot" photography 101 and 201 classes throughout the year. please follow me on facebook for announcements about class openings. i also am available for photography mentoring...just email me to discuss the details!

do you travel out of tucson for photo shoots?

sure do! i love to travel and may be inclined to do an out of town shoot for no additional travel rate fee. just the price of the session and the travel costs will do if the locale is right! :)
