And Baby Makes Three - Tucson Family Photographer

I may have met the most well-behaved baby ever during one of my sessions this weekend. Not a cry the entire two hour photo shoot. Not even a peep. He just laid there sleepy while I took a million pictures and while three little kids (with not so little voices) played happily around him. I couldn't believe it. And here's the best part...he's like that for his parents too!

Big sister and brother were so happy to have their pictures taken with baby boy. I love the shirts that their mom brought with them. I would dress my kids in matching clothes everyday if I could find enough outfits to make it work. :)

We had to get a few pics of the older ones by themselves. Big sister knew how to work the camera and I was so excited we were able to squeeze a smile out of big brother!

You all were fantastic and I'm so excited that you've got a terrific baby on your hands. Hold him close and cuddle with him tons because I'm missing that newborn stage! Here's my favorite shot...gotta love the smiles!

Pigtails, Soccer Balls, and Bribery - Tucson Family Photographer

I recently met with this adorable family for family photos. Mom wanted to make sure that we took plenty of candid shots that captured the way their family would normally interact, which was perfect for me and my style of photography. I love to let the kids just run around while I chase them with my camera (like everyday in my home!). Thankfully I brought comfortable shoes for this shoot because these cute kiddos kept me on my feet!

Mom knew that a soccer ball would be a great prop in getting the kids to interact with the camera. I had to be careful because this adorable girl was aiming straight at me!

After a little while we had to resort to other methods of bribery (playing dragons and castles with little mister and gummy snacks for miss pigtails).

And after the kids began to wind down mom and dad had a chance for a few pictures too. Aren't they so photogenic?

Well thanks for a fun morning (and a great workout!) with you all. You guys were great!

Pictures for the WHOLE family - Tucson Family Photographer

I've said this numerous times on this blog, but I really enjoy getting to photograph things that are a bit out of the ordinary.  This desire to keep things new and fresh really goes against my normal type-A, stick-to-what-you're-good-at nature, but all the changing faces/personalities/settings/subjects make me love photography. This afternoon's shoot had just the prescription of variety I was craving.

Yep, you're seeing this correctly. Two parents, two kids, two dogs, and two dragons (which I kept mistakenly referring to as "lizards").

Oh, and did I mention two horses, too?

After some fun with the pets we aimed for family shots...but the dragons stayed close by (check out the branch two pics down!).

Because I know how much I love to stare at pictures of my baby girl, I had to get individual shots of these two for their mom.

Thanks so much for the great afternoon and the fun challenge! And for my final shot...

Maybe I should go into dragon photography? :)

Three Boys, One Lady, and a Pair of Dinosaurs - Tucson Family Photographer

This evening I had the privilege of photographing a really spectacular family. This couple was so sweet and loving towards each other, and their kids were really fun and did so well with the camera. I love that my job allows me to interact with such great people and I'm excited to get to share these pics with you.

Big brother was all about the dinosaurs and he was begging to have them in every shot. I was able to get this adorable shot of him only after I convinced him that the dinos would have their place in the pic as well. :)

We found an enclosed space and were able to let the boys run around while mom and dad took some time for themselves. I love the candid nature of these photos and how genuine they are with each other.

Mom brought along some super cute hats for the end of the shoot. I had to ask where she got them because I need to get some for my kids!

It was so neat to meet you all this weekend and I hope to see you again soon. And if anyone is interested, mom has an awesome business selling cloth diapers (hooray for cloth diapers!) and natural baby products. Check her website here.
