Tucson's Cutest Kid Winner!

I have to admit that this was way too hard. There were over 450 Tucson's Cutest Kid Contest entries and let's be honest...you guys have some adorable kids! It was so difficult narrowing it down, but we eventually were able to decide on the winners (I know I only said there would be one winner, but come on, there were over 450 adorable kids in this contest..how could we choose just one?!!). Entrants were judged on their overall "cuteness" and the ten entrants with the most votes were automatically entered into the final round of judging. Each judge was asked to rank their top ten of contestants in the final round. We tallied up the votes and it was really close...but we found ourselves a winner!

So before I announce the Tucson's Cutest Kid Contest winner, I have to say how much I appreciate those who entered the contest and helped spread the word about BG Photography. At one point during the contest there were 11,000 people talking about it on facebook and in one week it reached over 110,000 people (I'm not exaggerating...this is true!)!  That's something I could never do on my own, so to say thanks for all the help I'd love to offer each family that entered the contest a free mini-print package when  they book their next session with BG Photography (offer expires October 1st, 2012). I hope to meet many of you soon!

Tucson's Cutest Kid Contest and What You Need to Know

It's cute kid time! The Tucson's Cutest Kid Contest is right around the corner and I'm so excited to start seeing your adorable kids! Up for grabs is an entirely free session, including a cd of 10 images and a print package. And all you have to do to enter is submit a pic of your sweet kiddo and help spread the word about BG Photography! The contest starts April 2nd and will run for two weeks. Until then, happy picture taking!

Here are the official rules:

To enter-
* One entry per child, no more than two entries per family
* You must be the parent or legal guardian of the child you enter into the contest
* Child must be 12 years old or younger on the date of entry
* You must have permission/rights to use the photo you enter
* Photo must have been taken in the last 6 months
* Photos will be accepted from April 2nd, 2012 until 11:59pm Friday April 13, 2012 (MST) via e-mail
* Only photos e-mailed to yvette@bgphotography.biz with the subject line “Tucson's Cutest Kid Contest” during the previously mentioned time will be accepted
* Include your child's name and age in the e-mail (first name and age will be posted for viewing), as well as your name and contact information
* Tag yourself with the Tucson's Cutest Kid Picture (found on BG Photography's facebook page)
* Ask your friends and family to vote for your cute kid
* Winning photo(s) must have at least five "likes" by the close of the deadline to redeem prizes
* Contest open to everyone, however photo sessions only to occur in Tucson, AZ at a location chosen by BG Photography

How Photos Will Be Judged-
* All entries will be uploaded into an album by BG Photography on my facebook fan page
* Once your picture is uploaded in the album, you'll receive an email letting you know that your picture is ready for voting ("liking" by your friends and family)
* You must tag BG Photography on your page with the words, "Vote for {your child's name} to win a free photo shoot in the Tucson's Cutest Kid Contest sponsored by BG Photography" (note: you must tag BG Photography by using the @ symbol)
* The pics will be judged by a panel of three of my friends and family
* The number of "likes" of each pic WILL be taken into account (acting as an additional judge)
* Voting will close Friday April 13th, 11:59pm
* Official winner will be notified and announced on this blog Monday, April 16th, 2012

What You'll Win-
* The parent or legal guardian of the child in the winning photo will receive a free photo session with BG Photography, as well as (1) 8x10, (2) 5x7's, and (8) wallets, as well as a high-resolution cd of 10 digital images of your choice
* Photo sessions to take place between May 20th, 2012 and July 31st, 2012
* First place prize retail value of $125 - can not be altered or changed in any way, and not redeemable for cash

Tucson's Cutest Kid Contest and The Final Mini Contest Winner...

As you may have read, I've been doing several mini photo contests to prepare for the upcoming Tucson's Cutest Kid Contest. This week was the final mini-contest week and the theme was "Crazy Faces."  I asked you to submit pics of your kids making their funniest expressions. This week's winner is Kaleigh! This week's mini contest winner (Plus your last chance to win before Tucson's Cutest Kid Contest)!

As you may have read, I've been doing several mini photo contests to prepare for the upcoming Tucson's Cutest Kid Contest. This week's theme was "Love" and I asked you to submit pics of your kid's with the things they love the most. After much deliberation, we (okay, by "we" I actually mean my eldest kiddo) have decided that Gretchen Helena  is the winner! Well, next week's contest (and the final contest before the TCK contest) is just superb. The theme is "Funny Face", so I'm asking you to post pics of your kid making their funniest face on my wall starting Monday morning. We're getting close to this year's Tucson's Cutest Kid Contest and to help get you all ready for your chance to win a free photo shoot with yours truly I'm running three mini photo contests centered around your adorable kiddos. The winner of each photo contest receives a $25 gift certificate to BG Photography that can be used towards any products or services (photo shoots, baby announcements or cards, professional prints and products, etc).

This week's theme was "Crazy Hair" and I asked you to post pics of your kid with their crazy hair on my facebook wall. I then asked my own adorable kiddos (who, by the way, have been known to sport their crazy hair for many days on end), to chose the winner and they chose RENEE DUFFIN'S cute little boy! Next week's mini photo contest is a little less restrictive. I'm calling the theme "Love". Feel free to interpret this how you'd like...your child kissing their daddy, holding their favorite stuffed animal, or munching down the snack they absolutely can't live without. End of the Year Giveaway!

Last night the Christmas spirit struck! I decided I'd like to do an end of the year giveaway to say thank you to all of those who have been such a huge support during the launching of my business either this year. I'd love to call this giveaway a Christmas giveaway, but you probably won't have this in hand before the 25th, so we'll call this an "End of the Year" giveaway. :) Up for grabs is one of my spectacular print packages (one 8x10, two 5x7s, four 4x6s, and eight wallets), a $50 value. I use a top of the line professional printer, so you'll notice a huge difference between my printing and the printing you may do at your local drugstore. You can use the package to print pics from a previous session, a future session (anytime in 2012), or to print digital prints you already own (just send me the files and I'll have them printed).

The Gist: Submit a picture of your cute kid and have all your friends "like" your picture and BG Photography. The photo with the most likes wins free session and prints!  Everyone who enters this contest will automatically receive a $25 off credit to use toward your next session! 

The Details: Beginning, Monday July 25th you will be able to submit a photo of your cutest kid(s), and the first place winner will receive a free photo session with BG Photography, as well as (1) 8x10, (2) 5x7's, and (8) wallets, as well as a high-resolution cd of 10 digital images of your choice. If there are 15 or more entries, a second place prize of a free sitting will be given, and each entry will receive an additional $10 credit toward their next session ($35 total credit).
